How about these as "swivel plates"?

 

Might help, worth a try, you’d have to have a very smooth and level floor. If so you’d simply have to block up the rear tires to match so your caster readings are true.

The ball bearing plates are pretty pricy.

 

Would you guys say 8hr install for a LT kit (bolt on) is too long?
Does anybody have experience with Dirt King kit?

 

Depends - welding in bump cans, cycling for bump, bypass or no, etc. 8 is a rough start I guess.

 

Yeah somebody wants me to help him install his DK kit. He got spindle gussets, UCA shears. Not sure about bumps stops. He has never installed any suspension before, that's like 8 more hrs alone. LMAO

 

That’ll be a BUSY day to do an LT swap and gussets in a day. I typically like to give some buffer for things to go wrong and that’s a lot of work.

Straight bolt on install with just setting limit straps? Sure, 6-8hrs. Bypasses, air bumps, and gussets? Plan on most of a weekend.

His truck sold and he or someone's selling some other stuff on his account on DR - it is looking good but not quick by any means from what seems to be a reliable general amount of things I've seen.

 

Day to day and a half pending any issues and how helpful your buddy is. But still definitely doable in a weekend.

Agreed. A single day would be ambitious. LT typically has a few tricks to throw out to slow down progress. add gussets and it’s a weekend for sure.

 

any 1st gen guys on here with spring under? I realized I bent my leaf mounts at some point and am designing new ones but curious what people might be running? Wanted to beef them up and strap it much further up the frame than the total chaos ones I have.

Or I can just grab another set and burn them in. lol
