    2020 TRD Off Road
    Hey gang,

so just bought a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Being that I live in the Florida panhandle, any serious off-roading will have to wait. That being said, I want to make a few mods to primarily improve the look. Off-roading benefits obtained by the mods made will be icing on the cake. With less than 100 miles on the odometer, first and foremost is to replace the wheels and tires. Prefer to go with 285/70/R17 (Fuel rims/Nitto tires), but to do so will require a lift or leveling kit. I am still trying to decide which way to go. I also plan on getting the predator pro running bars, roll-n-lock tonneau cover, TRD Pro Grill with Raptor style lights, Borla single side exit with black tip exhaust, and a new front bumper (CBI in Aluminum with low center grill protection has my attention ATM). Needless to say I have some $ to spend and a few decisions to make. Any and all recommendations or ideas are always more than welcome. See ya on the threads, Neil

    Welcome, Neil!
I grew up in the Panhandle and spent some time in PCB as a kid. What kind of off-roading do you expect to do? I recall riding timber roads and the occasional mud bogging. Would tall, skinny tires make more sense for Florida off-roading?

    MadDaddy,

yessir I will primarily be on logging trails, Nat'l/State Park trails, etc with the occasional mud hole or two when "off road." Blacktop is where it will spend 99.99% of her life. :) Personally not a big fan of the tall/skinny tire look. I'm thinking a 3/1 leveling kit, Fuel Lethal or JM2 rims, wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler MT or Ridge Grappler rubber.

I'm in the middle of a move and unearthing all kinds of artifacts including photos from PCB during Spring break/Beach weekend in 98-99. It was ridiculous what we got into and got away with back then.

I was there in 98-99. Actually, I went there several years in a row. Took me 8 years to get my bachelor's degree so I went from 98 to 2006ish. I was in high school in 1998, graduated high school in 2000, attended junior college then a university. 2000-2008. Yes, I agree we got away with some crazy things that would't fly these days. I stayed at the Super 8 mostly.
