You're correct, I remember Matt saying that.

Yeah, I thought I remembered something like that too. This is the only post of his that I can find related to it. Honestly, I don't really know what it means though. That "start up" is still "stock"?

Laggy between shifts. No spike in rpms. I should have clarified.

People with startup stumble, try the 87 octane file.

Several users with 87 octane file reported NO startup issues. These are octane learning maps, so what do you have to loose?

Just log your startup and see the culprit. It is pretty obvious..

I only have about 30 miles on the latest release 2.0 test file 04B04 2.0+Base+91+OL+34-36+4.88
I have the cold start(starts normal when warm) I have the rough idle at start up and had it twice once sitting a drive thru ,thought it was going to stall had to put it in neutral and give it a little pedal. 2nd time was at a red light had to do the same neutral and give a little pedal. Once its up to operating temp i havent had an issue runs really nice all gears! Best tune up to date except for the cold start and rough idle. But i only have 30 miles on it and i did reset LV and AT so it might get better?Every tune has gotten better after a complete tank has been run on it! I have never had the start issue on any of the older tunes all started with the 2nd release of 2.0

If it's obvious, enlighten us who can't test it.

Let me guess, it's the DI valve cleaning cycle?

I'm interested to hear your opinion and data on the start up issue. I have been working on other things (Samurai) recently waiting for 2.0 final so haven't seen much info on this start up thing.

87 tune has had the startup stumble for me both test tunes. The octane isn’t the problem.

that's the post I couldn't find. Of course Mat is the final word, but I interpreted it the other way. If he had to change the tables for the tune, and startup is dependent on those tables, then startup must therefore be modified from stock if you have a tune flashed...:notsure:

No it is not related to valve cleaning.
