I really need to get off my ass and get the HAM license. The practice tests have scared me off. Too much math and science for my dumb ass.

If you have the technician license (lowest tested HAM license) then you still need a GMRS license. They are completely independent of each other.

So basically I would need to get the technician license in order to legally transmit over the approved 462 and 467 freq's? Dang I thought the GMRS license was the halfway point where you can use it for recreational communication, no digital or text capabilities...otherwise I'll have to find out when they'll resume testing (presuming onsite testing has been suspended with CCP virus woes).

You put d rings into the bed, for the back two anchors?

I was curious if the permanent side anchors would suffice/if the strap was long enough to fit between the two (though I imagine you had to customize the strap lengths?)...

I don’t have those anchors there so I added my own. I don’t think the side ones would work though. My strap is for a 35”-40” tire and the back two straps are mostly extended.

Sorry for so much confusion Rahl. It's my fault for just throwing shit out there at you.

Here is a link to a forum and the guy here is showing a step by step direction of how the process happens.

Yes, it is confusing. I hope this helps and if not, I will PM you my phone number and I can talk your through it while we are both online.
