How do you mean you bent them? One side or both - you mean limit strap or weld them on in a different location? You could just make overlays for TC ones.

They seem bent out from a hard hit or something. Deavers slightly rubbing on the mount too. Scratching my head, both sides.

Took me and two friends a solid two days for my lt venture. I went ham and had some issues though. Bucket and marlin gussets, plus my cam bolts were seized.

I just went with ruffstuff sua kit and JD Fab hangers. Id mount the limit strap further up the frame to give you more surface to weld to. You might try to straighten as much as you can then weld gussets to it.

Did you box your frame? The frames on these frames are stupid thin

I forgot about that misery. Those cam bolts are pretty tough. Went through a few sawzall blades.
Lots of potential for slowdowns with a job like this.

It takes 6 hours to install a 2wd kit if you’re booking it. With the gussets I’d say 12 hours minimum

Hmmm your spring seems to have wandered inboard too - not sure if it happens to most guys since nothing has changed since my truck's had the springs installed and been sitting. That's pretty bent - it almost looks like it took a rock hit, but if it's identical on both sides, probably not likely. I agree, I'd try to bang the hanger back straight and reinforce with overlays for sure.

I didn't time my own install, then again I took an extreme amount of time because perfectionist and still came nowhere near perfect. Lmao

    Back from the dead!

Had a crazy couple years but I'm back to see what's new with you guys.

That's a full weekend with gussets, bump, and straps. The bolt on part is easy.

    Looks like a bad bushing

it’s identical on both sides which is why I’ve been scratching my head. Could the wandering be mostly from the bushing?

I’m gonna drop the leafs this weekend and do some measuring. Likely just plate over it once it’s straight. Would like to tie them further up the frame anyway.

You'll have to keep your axle roughly in the same location though unless you want to extend your ds - you'll probably find clues once you take the springs off too.

Mark the cam bolts before you pull the truck apart and when you break the jam nuts on the tie rods loose just barely back them off. If you do that more often then not you won’t have to mess with alignment to be able to drive it to the alignment shop. That’ll save you some time.

I'm sure pretty much any decent fab shop could make them - here's the rack clevis kit you could begin with for what you'll need. Usually you would want to weld another tab on the steering bolt where the ball joint is though.

    https://camburg.com/shop/suspension/camburg-steering-heim-clevis-kits/

Any reason for wanting billet tie rods? Might put the money into spindles and tie rods since you'd sell your gusseted spindles and pay for some of the expense :notsure:

Kartek I believe also sells billet and welded tie rods. Measure the current length to get a starting point, factoring in the camburg adapters.
