About to disconnect my battery, but before I do that just want to be sure there is no battery code like some Honda’s right?

I have disconnected my battery many times while working on my truck and haven't thrown a code yet. Not saying there isn't one, but I haven't seen one and I do have a scan gauge which reads dtc's,

    Not what he's talking about.

Security code to enter when power is lost. Reduces risk of radio theft, 'cause if they don't have the code, it won't work.

All my 90's vintage Honda's had it. Guess they thought their radios were hot stuff.

I always put the code on the bottom of the now non existent ashtray. So I could find it again after I had the battery unhooked.

Oh okay. My radio does not have this, but I think my radio is on the lower end of the scale since it doesn't have navigation or other features.

No, none of my Tacos have had any codes for upgrading radios. If had 3 different trucks and upgraded all 3 to the OEM factory navigation radios and never had to input any codes
