That plug gap is actually .029, these are .039, but I believe at the square end projection tip the gap is actually less.

There is a different methodology of firing, gap, and heat range with these plugs, so the traditional rules here are not as applicable as traditional Iridiums and coppers.

They even indicate on all of their spec verbiage that these plugs are specifically designed for the high heat production that supercharged and turbo engines see.

They are like a hybrid between side gapped race plugs, have the long lasting characteristics of Iridiums, and have the heat producing characteristics of coppers... So it's like the best of all worlds. Like I said, traditional rules do not apply here.

So I was telling someone a couple of days ago that I have never gotten pulled over in my summer car in the 8 years that I've owned it. Sure enough, yesterday evening I get pulled over by a SUV. He proceeds to tell me I'm getting a ticket for failing to see a sign that said no right turns on a red (it was raining and dark and I missed it, that's my story anyways), and comments that he doesn't like my exhaust tips. To my surprise he comes back after only a few minutes, with a ticket for ignoring the no-turn-on-red sign, and said he's giving me an enormous break because if he'd wanted to, he'd give me the ticket for oversized exhaust tips for $900, plus an extra $200-something for loud exhaust, and I'd have to report for a visual and audio inspection on Monday with the exhaust reverted back to stock. "Thank you sir" and I was on my way.

"He doesn't like" doesn't sound like law to me. Either way, only had to deal with the little thing.

Did you shut down the truck as soon as you were pulled over? It's the first thing I do cause of my questionable sounding exhaust... you cant judge what you cant hear.

I like mine loud too. I have a trd exhaust that i run sometimes but i always end up putting the afe side pipes back on. My truck is a manual so it makes all kinds of good burbly noises when shifting and letting off the gas :D

what kind of catback are you running right now?

Got my new RPM belt on. What a pain, but at least I'm confident I can do it road-side if I had to now.

OEM Magnuson belt ribs were cracked all over. Much more peace of mind now with a new belt and a backup in the cab as well.
