Exhaust Tip Question

My truck came with a chrome exhaust tip and I'm going to paint it satin black. I was wondering if anyone knows how tight the bolt should be when I put it back on. I haven't had any luck finding the torque specs.

 

When you remove it, and feel how tight it is, about the same as that.

it just clamps on, no force is applied to it at all.

 

1.7 ugga duggas?

Careful. I accidentally drained the tranny fluid when I attempted this mod.

 

You're kidding right? You didn't really look for torque specs?
Your problem is probably going to be more removing the old one than putting it back.

 

I figured I'd probably get some

 

1" drive ratchet and 3 foot breaker bar should get you what you need

 

Guttentight is the German spec

 

I could have sworn I read somewhere that it was fükentightened.

 

It's 41 ft-lb per the OEM install guide.
