I've used nothing but clean microfiber towels and plexus plastic cleaner to clean my cluster and its somehow already scratched to shit at 4k miles. Really wish there was a plastic screen protector for it. they had one for my Jeep JLU and it was so worth it

I was thinking of just getting a universal sheet of lamin-x film and throwing it on a new cover. Then use an exact-o knife to cut out a hole for the knob.

I've scoured the internet for a while.... does anyone know where I can find a spare bolt/screw for the rear of the cluster?

One of the (8) #15 torx that you remove to separate the lense/cluster.

I replaced my lense the other day and one of my bolts vanished.

Has anyone purchased a new cluster lens and had 3m clear vinyl added before install?

When I dropped the truck off for ceramic coating after picking it up from dealer I had them coat the cluster as well, but of course the dealer tards had already scratched it slightly from pre delivery, hopefully it doesnt get worse with the coating on it now.

I have this set, it's pretty popular in the Pinball hobby.

Tried some Novus 2 on my scratched cluster. Just made it worse, will probably order a new one then practice plastic polishing on the original. Nothing like changing the gauge cluster plastic at 5k miles. :bananadead:

Am curious if plastic-x works any better.

I use this product on the headlights and rear turn signals. Helps remove small scratches. Never tried it on gauge cluster. I use compressed air or canned air prior to cleaning gauge cluster. Microfiber cloth helps too.

Yeah mine was scratched from the dealer. Don't feel like arguing with them over replacing it. Would probably end up worse than just doing it myself.

I did. I ordered the panel from Crown Toyota in Ontario for $27. I had a clear bra installed on my new truck, and the installed put an extra piece on the cluster. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks great, other than the less than perfect cutout for brightness adjuster.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Maybe the wrong thread for this, but my infotainment screen was bad too. My instrument cluster on my 2016 TRD OR is worse, completely scratched.Came like that when purchased used with 6k miles on it.

My infotainment screen (if that's what it's called) is very scratched up. When cleaning the inside of my truck I used 303 Protectant, which did nothing for the instrument cluster, but surprise, my entertainment screen looks almost like new now. Total double take on that one. I have had it in bright sunlight, dim, gray, nighttime, etc. and I can't see any marks on it now. I had tried a number of different cleaners that all removed the grease, but did nothing for the scratches. I don't know if the scratches are now just hidden behind the 303 film, but it looks like new now. Again, did nothing for my instrument cluster. I used microfiber cloth (smooth type, not that ribbed stuff) with the 303. Spray on cloth first, then clean away. Then used a very soft fluffy baby type of wipe to buff the 303 after it had dried. Really happy with the result. Not perfect, but 90% better. These pics are the after cleanup. Should have taken some shots to show what it looked like before, which as noted was pretty badly scratched. Note the more faded picture shows a # of dust specs.
