Happy with the sunk in outside design, finally got it popping in and being snug and still easy to pop out and replace if needed. Moving on to the center version.

Which one do people prefer? Printed off the one that isn’t sunk in, now that I finished the sunk in design. Probably need to install them to really see which I prefer.

Depends which ones are more secure to me. Both look great honestly.

It's pretty much held in place with the same design as far as how the lights are held into place, it clips in about the same and is pretty held in place. Sunk in one is easier to remove the lights since the tabs aren't up into the print and is a cleaner print since you don't have to bridge or anything or do supports if you don't like how it bridges the gap. This is held into the grill by the same design in this thread.

Here’s my set up. Bezels from
https://etsy.me/3bzXpF and I got the smoked amber lights on https://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Ligh...ont+grille+lighting+kit&qid=1589536298&sr=8-6
Pretty happy with the bezels and the lights. The bezels have cutouts that hold the PRO led perfectly and I still epoxied it in. Snapped off the tabs to make it easier to press the lights into the bezel.
I’ll have pictures for how I wired it later. It involves two splices into the pink and green wires like on running4 tacoshttps://youtu.be/YRbzCK66oko . I added a disconnect and used it to piggy back my + from DRL and headlights

Finally got both installed, not sure how I feel about press fit. One of my versions fits better on the grill, but I won’t say which because of below, but I think I prefer the other design. I’m debating a redesign of how it fits in for my truck. In the mean time if anyone in the US wants both sets of this design with my clip in fit to do a review of what you prefer and how you feel about press fit, I will send them at cost for shipping and packaging. This is only to the first person that responds to this thread, not DMs. You must have the Amazon raptor lights or have them in order.

Here is what both versions look like on the truck. flush fit first

Kind of confused about what lights to get.

Are these the best ones anyone else have any recommendations?

These are the ones I went with for my truck. They seem like good quality so far: https://www.amazon.com/Seven-Sparta...ds=tacoma+raptor+lights&qid=1590249820&sr=8-2

I have also seen these in person, but they are really good quality and come with silicone on the back of the lights' electrical connection to prevent water from getting in: https://www.runnin4tacos.com/produc...ro-raptor-lights-3-kit?variant=22919181729840. Just make sure you choose a 4-piece.

Id prefer only three lights. Has anyone tried to set these in the closed half openings one row higher?

That would take some cutting of plastic. I just went out there and checked and it would take some destruction to get a nice clean look there. I think they would look better there too, but I don't really want to cut up my grill to find out, especially if I decide to switch grills later.

Finally got mine to a point where it requires a significant force to dislodge them. These do really need to be hole specific to get a nice tight fit. Probably will put a D and P on the backside of the outside ones in the print to make sure I remember which is which, lol. Be nice to do this with one print, but a truly secure device of this design type that’s removable and will last probably needs a second screw in part to secure the rear.

Yes they are, but DM me for a coupon code if you're interested. Offering a large discount for TW members. Lights not included with the inserts, but any of the TRD pro grille style lights will fit.
