SUA rear slip yoke??

hey guys i just had the sua kit from engage put on my truck and i havent done anything to the driveshaft yet. i wont be able to have the slip yoke done to the driveshaft till for another full week. Im afraid i will do damage to the tranny because of the added plunge because cause its my DD and it will see some highway miles with minor road bumps in the next week. Should i be worried about the tranny when i am just driving the thing on the road??

 

I wouldn't drive it. You may get away with it but I think that the length of the drive shaft could be enough of an issue to break something. My drive shaft length changed by like 3 inches. 2wds and 4wds have different tolerances so my situation may not apply to you.

 

I agree with Matt, wait until you get the driveshaft taken care of, not worth what could happen.

What exactly does happen if you drive the truck with out shortening the drive and adding the slip yoke?

 

I am in the same boat. Might be picking up a SUA and wont have the money to do a slip yolk for a little bit after everything is so damn expensive

 

Posible damage of the tranny, driveshaft and rear end. Lt moves around 3-4" and without a slip something bad will happen

 

yeah i hear ya. my truck is my dd and i cant get the thing in to the shop for the slip till thursday. i hope she holds up for the week of street driving.
