Is there much of a quality difference between the eBay tires and the toyos they share a tread pattern with? I have some experience with motorcycle tires and the dual or triple density compounds degradation on the track. But I don’t see much about compounds for general purpose a/t or Mt tires, mainly tread pattern preference.

I'm sure there is, but is probably small. Back when General wasn't owned by Continental they sold a tire that was just an old version of a Goodyear. Great tire. Half the price.

I try to do a little research when I come across these foreign market makers. Most of them have been around for a while. A lot of them make tires under license for the big names.

Another anecdote. I had Kelly Springfield tires on a vehicle and got a nail in one. It was unrepairable. I bought two new tires of another brand and went down the road. Later on I was looking at them and they were the exact same as the Kellys.

Big name tire brands can be worse than the cheap ones. Goodyear uses to (and may still be) a terrible tire.

And just took a ride on the recaps. Ride smooth up to 75, pretty quiet considering they're MTs. Quieter than my Wildpeaks I took off.

We'll test on them for real tomorrow!

Ive ran toyo open country mts and fleebay specials on my truck. Is there a difference? Absolutely. Is one worth twice the price? I dont think so (assuming you do a little research and read reviews). I decided to make the switch when i tore the sidewall open on a 400$ tire and broke a bead in another one driving on a flat. I think so much of it depends on your intended use. For my truck its loud anyways, constantly out of alignment and the tires get chunked up way before they wear out.

Anyone want a third gen TRDOR wheel and a stock tire I’m pretty sure is good but definitely has 90% tread? Need to get rid of it tomorrow and you gotta pick up by Reston metro.

image.jpg So does it not matter which wire from the solar panel connect to the Redarc? Is there not a positive and negative?

ETA: Nevermind. Hooked my multimeter to the panels and shined a flashlight at it. I figured out which is positive. Just seemed from the diagram it might not matter since they did not specify other than showing one going to ground. Damn Australians. Different Tort laws there. Don’t they know they need more directions and disclaimers?

I run dual batteries but separated them and run the secondary in the truck bed next to the fridge. The secondary is powered by the solar panel on my roof rack and managed with a charger controller and blue tooth module. I wired up a blue sea fuse panel In a side cubby and wired that to the secondary and just plug in to power fridge. Has worked great so far just need to build a custom fridge slide and battery box next. Thanks to @TaKoToy for the fridge.

Yes. Glad to hear several folks are going this route. Did you cut holes in the bed to run wires? And is it a bolt down solution or ratchet straps? Also, did you add quick disconnects or hard wired?
