Cat Delete? PO420 & PO430 Codes

I have a 2016 offroad access cab with 100,000 miles. It has been getting the PO420 and PO430 codes. Local toyota dealer checked eveverything out and said everything was fine. They cleared the code and said if the codes came back I would need the Cats replaced. Of course the codes came back

So the question is could it be something other then cats causing the codes? Bad O2 sensors?
Or does anybody make software for doing a cat delete? Any other options or suggestions welcome

 

Its illegal but there are videos if you do search on these codes how to insert a resistor of a certain value on your downstream o2 sensor to fool the ecu to thinking your getting the correct fuel to air ratio. Did this to my tundra and it works till i got my new cats. Just make sure you erase the codes after.

 

I've heard of people install spark plugs anti foulers on the O2 sensors with good luck and making these codes go away. I also have the P0430 coming and going with a state inspection coming up in June. So I've been debating it since it's a 6 dollar fix lol

 

My first guess would be O2 sensors but that is a guess. Could be the Mass Air Flow sensor. Could be a control valve sticking open or shut. 100,000 miles the CATs should still be good. The O2 sensors should be a low price gamble Vs buying new CATs. I don't know if the CATS come with O2 sensors so you might have to buy new O2 sensors anyway. I just went through this on a 2004 Ranger.

I remember doing this to my first Civic probably 12-13 years ago.

 

I had an engine check light around 180k come on indicating the cats were failing. Had already installed new upstream and downstream sensors awhile back due to open heaters. At the time of the failing cats i had to go through emission testing. Believe out or not the truck still passed anyways after temporarily doing this resistor mod, and erasing the codes so they wouldn't notice it.
