I’m a long distance runner so I like to prioritize fat adaption techniques for some runs by doing most of my aerobic runs fasted.
My speed work is done non fasted.

Goals: Run as long or as far as it takes to suppress the urge to kill people. :)

Seriously: road marathon this year with 2021 being entirely dedicated to ultras.

So not for calorie burn or cardiovascular health. Just pure enjoyment mixed in with a little pain and suffering... because I genuinely enjoy that.

Great answer!! Haha to not kill people! Yeah I've been doing sprints for cardiovascular, fasted resistance training for fat burn and heavy bag work for mental health, so I don't kill people lol

I have a lot of respect for you long distance runners, it's grueling!! I follow David Goggins, that guy is an animal!!

Right!? Fitness for daily life!! I encourage people to try sprints, it's the best of both worlds! 30sec on, 30 sec off, 10 sets. Plus not as damaging to joints as long distance running

Neither, but cardiovascular health is a definite benefit. For programming purposes, basically the bigger the base the higher the peak and if I’m breathing heavily after some high volume sets then I won’t be recovering as quick as I could be. Also if I do just a little more conditioning than my competition, it’ll be a sweet edge.

Havent been on in a while. Anyone got the hookups on where to order plates/barbells/rack? Momma is finally down with having a garage gym but i haven't been able to order any gym stuff due to the 'Ronas. I'm wanting to try the PRX stuff. Seems like most places are out of stock. People on FB selling their stuff like it's worth brand new prices. I could always wait it out as well.

Need help ID'ing this old barbell. My buddy bought a used set off CL and the BB was a throw in that he didnt need. It came rusted and just left it outside. I bought a pvc pipe and enclosed this BB in it with vinegar. It took almost all the rust off and cleaned up well. It's a unique 7ft bar but only weighs approximately 36 lbs. Solid pin end caps along with a split sleeve collar which York barbell is the only manufacturer that I could think of that has the split collar design. No stamped markings but only weighs around 36-37 lbs according to my bathroom scale.

Should’ve encased it with Coca Cola instead of vinegar. Would’ve cleaned it like new

End to end is 86 inches. The collars were chrome plated and flaked off but the bar and knurl grip was not chrome plated.
