I was looking for the torque spec for my rear u bolts and seen a lot of people saying theirs are loose I had my springs recalled a couple years back. Nice because they added another leaf but I had the 3 inch block I’ve been doing power stop brakes and upgraded shocks thought I should check the u bolts they didn’t lock right not straight up so with a 3/8 drive ratchet and one hand loosened them some more straightened them up and retightened Them I think they should be torqued at about 75 ft/lbs they are long can someone let me know? And a good rule of thumb would’ve been 5-10,000 miles they should be retorqued if the dealer torqued them at all

Mine are torqued to about that. Should be good to go. Always recheck after about 500 miles.

Its 50 ft/lbs spec but I can tell you that I have never ever torqued it to that.

I usually do 65 ft/lbs on tacoma rear leaf springs.

I think the spec was 73, so 75 is good. I agree that checking torque on dealer touched bolts is a good idea, I would actually suggest that as soon as you get the vehicle home and after 500 miles. I also check ubolts when I do oil changes, good time to grease ujoints too.

I also noticed the owners manual was saying something about Retorquing the body to frame bolts does any have any input and specs on that?

Id suggest checking the bed bolts as there have been some that had severe wear on the bed mounts from loose bolts.
