it was not difficult with C4’s YouTube video. I would give it a 4, with 10 being the hardest. Took me about 4 hours total including the wiring. I was pretty worried about installing it myself, but took my time.

 

Been staying a bit busy with building this bumper.. pretty close to being done, just have to weld some small components, grind it all down more and paint!

 

Oh hell yes. I want, no - I need that bumper!

Night shot. Light distribution is pretty good considering half the light is pointed out instead of down. Excited to see how it turns out with my 3D printed brackets pointing the rock lights down.

Cleaned up the engine bay, fixed the clock spring and got the horn working again, got the dent removed from the tailgate, add performed a decontamination wash, iron removal, and autoscrubbed to get ready for polish and coating tomorrow. Put an extra bead of silicon around the Tacomabeast Spyder headlights before I install them this weekend. Also ordered some Rotifform Six OR’s in bronze but not sure if I’ll actually receive them. They are showing in stock but we’ll see. More to come.

 

Something is wrong with my driver's side headlight. Only noticed today, that's how much I drive the truck lately.

The halo (I think that's what it's called) on the retrofit doesn't light up when the headlight is on. I checked all the plugs, everything was plugged in fine. Ballasts are fine. They are the Morimoto XB35 (pretty sure that's what they are). The motocontrol is the Morimoto bi-xenon wire harness (I think).

Any one know anything about headlight retrofits? Trying to figure out if it's the harness itself that's shot and need to buy a new one, or if it's the halo itself that shit the bed & need to drop $$ and buy a new set of retrofits.

 

Installed the Wheeler's U-bolt Flip Kit and made a video of the install!

 

are there springs in the risers? off road how much does the bumper movement pull on the rack?

 

Sometimes the pins in the connectors work themselves loose over time. Try checking all of the pins first and tighten them up with a pick tool!

 

Did that, and still not working properly.

Thinking about buying the entire harness pc and see what happens. If I looked it up correctly it's only $35.

 

Who makes that shelf? Pretty cool idea!
