I say it all the time. Don’t sleep on the turkey and the sausage. Man, everyone flocks for brisket and shoulder. They’re good but damnnnnn the sausages are my favorite. I usually do spicy Italian. I did bratwurst once and did a beer bratwurst in my marinara sauce once. The marinara sauce was a mistake BUT the smoked bratwurst was good. If they don’t have the spicy Italians I am not opposed to the brats.

I have one of those for dog food and didn’t think of using them for chips/pellets/charcoal. Maybe when Marshall’s opens up again I’ll see if I can find another.

Never seen smooth shiny galvanized metal like a paper clip. I think they are zinc coated.

My 2 cents. I don’t know about the Akron but I use the 22” Weber kettle. You can do a lot with it but you do have to have a tonne of patience with it. Basically sit around and keep an eye on temps all day. I’ve done pulled porks and briskets where I’m up at 5 am and have babysat it all day to 6 pm. Or longer. But that’s bbq unless you get a pellet pooper like a treager. Lotsa good reading in this thread. Have a look around

Good Deal but that is why I have changed over to overnight cooks on briskets. Too bad I can't find them lately.

Back when I was stuck living in Hawaii, I was living on post and had lights up. Some asshole reported me or having 'Christmas' lights up out of season and I had to take them down. I never did understand the asshole who reported it. Couldn't see it from the street and it bothered literally nobody.

Lately valets have been getting hotel guests thrown in jail so it kinda works out.

Honestly fuck Hawaii. That place sucks. Don't go there.
