Very few people out there when we got to Kiawah... then 10 minutes later about 10 boats full of people showed up. It was a nice smooth ride back though. There were a lot of kids out there with boats that cost the same as my house.

 

The power of that credit. When you can get loans for boats these days that are longer terms than homes.

 

Guess that’s what you’d call “Off Shore” investments then.

my BIL just bought a damn $85k fifth wheel toy hauler. They financed it for 20 years so they could manage the payment

Yeah. Apparently he needed something to match is brand new 2500 Denali. Along with his wife’s brand new T4R limited and a brand new CanAm X3 SxS. And they wonder why the bank won’t give them a mortgage.

I’m not great with money so I can’t really say much

 

I haven’t been, but since losing my job it made me realize it’s no way to live being in debt all the time. I’m working on getting us out of the hole, it’s just a slow process.

@dan0mite suggested we put in at Cherry Pt. Quite entertaining when we left. Dude tried to launch a
$90,000 Sea Pro bay boat over his trailer. No guide poles and the boat was barely on the trailer. Best
part it took them 20 minutes to get the boat situated on the trailer. While still on the ramp they loaded everything from the
boat to their Jeep Cherokee. Damn Jeep Owners.

 

Same. Trying to be an adult. Credit cards are gone, car payments are gone, paying off the boat or selling it and we are done except for the house.

 

I love hanging out at the boat ramp and watching people with expensive boats doing dumb things. Shem Creek is a great spot too

 

yeah we got quite a bit left to pay off. So far this year I’ve paid off a $4k cc and a $3600 student loan (hers) all while not having a job. I’m hoping to get another $10k in credit cards and lines of credit paid off by end of the year. If I can find a job then it will be much more than that.

 

Lowe's has the pallets of double bag charcoal on sale now. @scottalot you gonna stock up again this year? I am down to two bags, so will be probably filling the bed up tomorrow.
