    Hey guys, I am wanting to attach this sweet antique tag to the front of my 2020 Tacoma.
    I cannot find any options online.... Anyone on here have experience attaching antique license plates to the front bumper of your Tacoma?
    Thanks

    Can you use the factory front license plate mount?

    Factory front license plate mount or hit up @ACEkraut for his low profile no drilling license plate mount

    :):):):)...All right all you Wisenheimers!!! :rofl:
    @rozzi @whatstcp Both of you guys understood what I was up against.... Thanks for the help; @rozzi I wasn't able to find that option at my local store; but did see it on ebay... Glad you confirmed that would attach properly to existing holes without drilling again. @whatstcp I may choose to go with the ACEkraut solution; it too looks like it would work.

    Just so everyone else knows; a 1935 plate is not the same dimensions as a modern plate; using the factory or a similar mount would not only not fit, but if i modified it somehow it would probably look terrible. Wanted a more professional solution. But Hey! thanks for the interaction regardless; y'all just didn't know any better and were only trying to help.
    @PlumpPossum That clean, black and white, 72 SC plate is looking sharp on your silver truck!
    @Amanelot @shakerhood
    Thank everyone for your help and interaction.

    I would be more worried about legality than mounting it. Assuming you are in Texas (since it is a Texas plate) you have to have a legit plate up front. I doubt cops will share your affection of the antique plate displayed up front.

    @gsrogers I'm in AL.... we only have to have rear plates. But, yeah, if Texas requires front plates I guess that would be a problem if in TX.

    Then I have to ask why you want a Texas plate? Why not an AL one...you can find them cheap on eBay. Jus wondering

    @Michaelsh I knew what you were up against with the different size of the vintage plate. I collect vintage CA plates and the thought did very briefly cross my mind to run a 1920 CA plate on the front of my 2020. I probably would of made a custom mount for it, similar to ACEKraut's, to utilize the factory holes in the plate. In the end though, since CA requires two plates, it just wasn't worth the possible LE hassle to me.

    I mean, I can’t blame him. If I had a plate mount on the front of my Tacoma, and an old Texas tag, I’d probably put it on too. Cause I like Texas. But I have some old SC ones so I reckon I’ll just keep using those.

    I have roots from TX... there's that... and also a Texas plate is different and there is just something about a good ole Texas rusted 1935 plate that I like... The Lone Star state is just fitting for a truck. I already have a few AL antique tags; but chose to go with TEXAS.

    @rozzi ... Since you have experience in antique tags, you may could direct me to an online shop to find an appropriate black frame for the aforementioned antique plate.... I did see a few places that sold ACTUAL antique frames; and even though some were cool I was really looking for plain black. I am not asking you to research; I can do that... Just thought you may already know of a good place to find a black frame for a '35 Texas plate. If not, I really appreciate the link/help you already sent my way!

    Not sure about TX but I heard that Ohio is no longer requiring the front license plate starting in July 2020. Maybe other states will follow.

    Off hand, the only online shop that I know that sells reproduction frames is here: https://www.davesclp.com/store/c9/Plate_Frames.html . They are local to me, so I see them at swap meets. They deal in CA plates, but might be able to help you out if you are looking for a reproduction frame. I'd also hit up any local hot rod shops in your area. If they sell after market parts, there is a chance they will have aftermarket frames for vintage plates.
