The racking in one of our aisles has been banged up so much, a company came in to patch things up. All the orange bits on the left are new.

I think it was over loaded.

    Fundamentally, yes.
    Legally, perhaps not.
Britain has a long history of correcting regulations after a mishap.
    *edit: only after a mishap.

I just watched a documentary on why ships sink. It mainly was about cruise ship disasters. Every time there's a disaster, starting with the famous Titanic, the rules and regulations change. Also happened with the Costa Concordia.

How many times have you said "somebody is going to get killed here" but no action is taken until somebody, sometimes multiple somebody's, is actually killed.

IKEA warehouses have all the motorized equipment sensor alarmed. If you bump them too hard they shut down sounding an alarm that only floor managers and security have chips to reset. I think if you drop something from up off the rack you get driven to a drug test.

Many warehouses are like that. I believe one of our newest also does that. I can tell you many people damage things and pretend it doesn't happen. If our equipment shutdown for a hard bump, we'd never get any work done lol. You have to hit the racking pretty hard to dent or damage it. No idea how people do it so often unnoticed

I watch a program about air plane crashes. On the Discovery channel or such. Issues range from lack of rules, not following rules, faulty design, and people being people. What I have learned is stay off Russian airlines if you like your flight crew sober. The co-pilot on the Ethiopian 737 Max crash had something like ~30 hours flight time as a professional pilot in any aircraft. Corona19 virus is not the only problem airlines have.

Yea, people being people is the number one problem.

True story. I remember hearing it on the 6:00 news. The woman was just a tad embarrassed when she found out she was pranked.

I just can't fathom someone reading those names and NOT thinking it had to be a joke.

In the rush to get a "Scoop" on the other stations, I wonder how many people proofread this before handing it to the anchor.
