    I hope you learned a lesson o_O

    I wouldn't have come to the place I did if I couldn't have left on friday like i did. It gets crazy here too. Usually I go out with my folks on long weekends since they can go any day of the week and get a spot.
    It's busy here but not the usual since its been colder. Camp still filled up in about 6 hours - they didn't open until 9am Friday and was full around 3 pm

    were back up and running since 11:30. all the electric panels on a wall along a walk way(high hoist traffic area) for the baleroom. cant be in the baler room as a fire could blow the whole back of the plant off.some line was missing air. balerroom guy saw power was off to it. handle was broke and when he shifted it it touched a fuse holder or something and blew. blew door open and ark flash burned his hand just a little and knocked him to the ground. damn lucky. Bobby came in and had it fixed in an hour.

    High voltage panels and switch gear are dangerous place to be around as flash overs and arcing can happen suddenly . Back in the early 80's after getting out of the Military I was living in Scottsdale Az and working for large Electrical contractor as an underground electrician

    We were doing all the underground electrical from APS transmission lines to the switch gear and transformers on the Scottsdale Sheraton resort property . We were powering up the site and then a large electrical explosion occurred . We had two of our linemen injured when they were using a Hot stick while disconnecting power inside a vault box . Somehow a boot on a 7500 volt cable arced against the cabinet causing a flash over injuring both linemen

    They ended up with flash burns and taken to the hospital . Come to find out that subcontractor that we hired failed to splice the cables correctly

    Only be jelly of the view, not the experience...
    Drove for an hour to get there, parked, walked to the lake, took a few pics and left. About 20 people on a beach about 50 yards wide and another 20 in the water screaming because its too cold. No shit. The lake qas probably still frozen over a week ago and is fed by all that snow you see on the mountains!

    No, that would be worth it as well.
    We went to a lake in the middle of summer every year, fed by mountain streams. Never got above 58° and we learned to swim in 55°ish water.

    That was cold.

    I imagine 40° water is something to avoid.

    But fun to watch people try.
