Can't get skid plate off 2020 TRD Pro

    I tried loosening 4 different bolts with a ratchet and it was the same result: after loosening them with several turns, they briefly get harder to turn and then just don't ever come out.

    Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
    And they may have little plastic retainers on the back to hold the bolts in when the plate comes off.

    Edit: metal retainers as shown below.

    ...stuff
    There are 6 bolts. Easy to identify because they go through the skid plate. 2 front, 2 middle, 2 rear

    This is the hardware for the pro skid plate...the retainer washers hold the hardware to the skid plate. Loosen all six and it’ll fall right off.

    The retainer rings can cause the bolts to bind if you don't loosen all 6 evenly and a little at a time.

    those simulated nuts are just turning. that's going to be a goat rope trying to somehow grip them while undoing the bolts.
