Building it yourself? I don't have a fridge yet but am looking at ideas to fabricate a slide and it doesn't look too difficult.

Anybody using the CSI 52 quart that's being sold here in TW? I could use the search function but meh. Ha ha

A friend down in AL. has one. He bought it last year for his 2.5-3 week road trip out to Moab. That said, He is a Diabetic and need something to carry his insulin, in. From what I remember. the fridge worked great for his trip. As far as I know.. it's been issue free.

Edit: if you want, I can throw a name or two in a pm. Then you can ask them directly.

Slowly making it through the suspension overhaul today.

Upgraded my oem leaf pack to Dobinsons L59-111-R heavy leaf pack, went with their bushings kit.
Took measurement from bottom of hitch receiver before at 16.25" and after at 19"...Not quite at @Casper66 level rake, but can't wait to pull a trailer load of timberor firewood rounds to really test it

Not a direct comparison (different surfaces/levelness)

To me, that sits very nice and with a load should level out nicely. With the weight of the shell it should ride nicely I would think.

No just their leaf pack...waiting on a set of Elkas 2.5 extended travel front coilovers and rear shocks. CV shut them down apparently earlier this year sometime and it's a 4-6 week delay on getting them (should pulled the trigger when Rona was first popping on the CHYNAH front)...everything else is stock (w/front spacer)

I'm just messing! I wanted to have some decent rake mostly unloaded (no spare or bucket o'gear, etc. maybe another 150-225# in bed).

I am not familiar with the Dobinsons. Hopefully they maintain their arch and serve you well

Yeah, after reading about Dakars woes and
not having Deaver$ and wanting to put more into coilovers and rear shock upgrades.
I found their thread on here, spoke with their rep, who was responsive and informative.

Big thing is not A TON of info and most of it is Aussies since that's where they're at/based. They've been around since 1953, for what it's worth. I really started eying their MRA coilovers and rear shocks, but the all aluminum body and resi's on Elka was always the driver for me in a possible cry once buy once setup (aside from rebuild needs). If you're interested a few guys have been running their regular setups, coilovers and quick lift setups.

Now the ride home was 38 miles, 30 of which were highway/interstate and then 8 miles of rippled paved road and then our rutted and corrugated gravel road we're on.

All of it was noticable and favorably firmer, albeit I was already happy with what the Hammer Hangers did in terms of rear ride jitter and shutter feeling/action.

I'll try to get out on the in-laws back field path to give it a bit of dirt and rut washout areas a test.

I miss that thing! The one I have now is too big and is acting funny on startup. I have to unplug it and plug it back in sometimes to get the compressor to start up.

    Catching any salmon ?
