1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Looks like I’ll be needing longer ubolts. Pinion angle spacer was a bit too much for the rear ubolt.

@eon_blue I really just need to get Alcans and do a rear shock relocation. The dent on my passenger rear shock is growing every time I leave the pavement.

 

Uncles new property. 170k. 7 acres. The silos are in good shape, the older house (white 1867) needs a lot of work. The green house (1936) is livable. The barn is rough, but might be saveable

 

oooh yeah I wouldn't drive it around with those ubolts like that lol. I was worried about mine a little and they have about 7 threads showing on the bottom

 

Need a go/no go recommendation.

2002 Double cab, RWD, B condition body/paint, 200k. Needs headgasket and new tires. Rear shocks are sagging and leaf springs may need retensioning. Got a quote for the head gaskets (with machining) for $3,300. Is it worth putting in all the work? I don't have tools or garage access.

Any guess what the truck is worth as-is?

Texas truck currently in Seattle. I no longer need the truck bed for work. Thinking about ditching for a wagon or micro-camper van, tho I'd be totally fine hanging on to it. I only drive 2x a week, once for errands, once for heading out hiking.

 

Oh. And he paid cash. Already talking to me about drawing up plans for a pole barn or to convert the barn there into a shop space. The old dairy building is perfect for machine shop tools

Hahaha!! It was funny how they wound suddenly master the English language when writing a grievance or writing a complaint to OSHA. The same dude who uses U R and ..... between each word suddenly knew how to use "pursuant" in a sentence.

 

Thats why we ask the women in our lives to write it for us.
