Traded a thumbs-up with a ZL1 owner not to long ago. Good stuff.

 

Next X pipe I get will be 304. Don’t know about the rest of the exhaust but the X will definitely be 304.

Aaaaaand supercharger just moved up higher on my list for the soon to be Tundra

 

they work. reccomended for these trucks.

 

Raced one off a light. He was sitting there revving the thing and I let him hit the hammer and then jumped him by 3 cars and he never caught me. Turned off before we could line up at another light. I could hear him back there all-in, shifting gears... Sounded nice.

 

Their problem is that they are almost as heavy as our trucks. Lol. They are fat pigs.

 

I need smaller pulley and a few items to feel that. Trucks feeling nice but not quite there yet.

 

They are heavier than a stock Tacoma.

 

They weigh what, some 5000lbs?

What do ours weigh stock? (Before all the skid plates, Dorkels, and steel bumpers)

 

Think the sticker weight for a dcsb is about 4400

 

According to the 2013 MY Brochure (excerpt atchd)...
- Access Cab 4x4 V6 6MT Curb Weight = 4075 lbs
- Access Cab 4x4 V6 AT Curb Weight = 4100 lbs
- DCSB 4x4 V6 6MT Curb Weight = 4160 lbs
- DCSB 4x4 V6 AT Curb Weight = 4185 lbs
- GVWR for all of the above = 5500 lbs

 

Well I am a little disappointed in Speed Hut. Got both gauges installed and they look great. But after only 90 miles the AFR gauge stopped working. Double checked all the connections and everything is good. If I let it sit it will work for a while then just stop responding.

 

Sounds like either a connection or the sensor. How did you hook up power? When I first hooked it up my connection was not solid. I thought I had an issue too. either way they have a lifetime warranty. They will help you out.

Coming up on a year since I completed the install, and haven't had a single problem with mine.

 

The gauge has power Im using a dedicated relay for it.

I was thinking sensor too, but even if I unplug the sensor it does nothing.

When I first installed it I did not have the sensor hooked up and it would do its warm up cycle, bounce between 14 and 15. I did not drive it like this I just installed the gauge and powered it up.

After I completed the install it did the same but only for 15-20 seconds then started reading normally.

Now it will not do anything, I can hear it power on (sounds like the motor inside moving). When I start the vehicle the needle bounces to 9 and then moves back to 8.5 really quickly. I can adjust the warning light, but other than that I get no response from the gauge.

This makes me think it is the gauge not the sensor, but I could be wrong.

 

I did send an email to Speedhut for assistance. I probably won't hear back thill Tuesday though.

 

Got the cam gears in, supercharger serviced and plugs changed. What a pain in the ass that was....

 

But done.

 

new parts can fail. does seem odd though. swap a new relay for fun. ive learned that way.

 

I hear ya. no dedicated relay but mine does the bouncing since it’s not hooked up yet. haven’t heard much bad things about speedhut. Hopefully chalk it up to a bad unit and get a new one.

I was thinking of ordering a couple other gauges since they are doing 15% off this weekend.

 

I have tested for power at the gauge so I know thats good.

I really like how they look, I was going to order a second AFR gauge also.

Im sure they will fix the issue.
