is it true that my truck would lift up to 3.75 by using 3gen tacoma spring with 5100 belstein shocks ??? I have a 08 tacoma.

No? A third gen spring is an inch taller than 2nd gens. So you'll get an inch. The 5100's don't lift. Springs do.

I think the 5100 has the adjustable height. 0 to 2.5" but I'm not sure just been watching it YouTube but thats what it says

I'm just in the budget right now for some lift. I do go offroading once in a while but not all the time. Just need something better than my stocks. I been getting good reviews on the belstein shock.

I run 5100s, ome 884 coils and ome hd dakar leafs.
It better than the stock suspension, and good for a budget suspension lift. Definitely has its limitations tho

Ahem.... I think you mean "Belsteins"

OP, since you mentioned budget, why not disclose your performance goals and how much you want to spend on it and there will be several vets who could offer some suggestions to get there or get close to what you want for the amount you want to put into it.

Ok. I ordered the shocks already the 5100 and the 3rd gen spring. I spent about almost 500 for every not including installation. I ask around some shops asking 400 to install it for me. Right now I'm not working and living here in Hawaii is very expensive. So I can't spend a thousand dollars maybe half of that is my budget. I just want something little better than my stocks. I don't go offroading much just here in there for fun.

$400 to install 4 shocks and springs seems like a good deal. With a lift you will probably need alignment, too. Around here you can usually find a deal for $100 4 wheel alignment and in your case the rears might not need it if the springs/axle is not touched so front only could be cheaper.

I have 3" leveling kit and I went to do my alignment it cost me extra because of it. They charge me almost 200$ bit when I change to the belstein I'm not gonna use my leveling kit.

Look, if you go with max lift of 2.5 inches on 5100s and you run a taller set of coil springs from the 3rd gens on your truck, there is a HIGH chance that you will experience coil bind if you plan on wheeling at all..

Let's not get into the amount of CV boots which you will blow out if you are running a lift that high.

There are simply a lot of risks to running that combination if you do that.

As mentioned previously it may run great on the road but the chances are high that you will quickly find it's limitations quickly if you attempt to have some real fun with it.

You're still going to need an alignment tho.. unless your new setup somehow is exactly the same as what you're trying to do now.

$200 is a lot for one, even on the island. Shop around some more
