TRD COLD AIR INTAKE WORTH $400?

I know, I know. This is one of hundreds of threads but this one is a short simple review. I got mine at the dealership for a good guy price of $375 I understood that this was mainly eye candy for under the hood. I did not expect any performance enhancements but I did hope to expect some sound enhancements as far as aggressiveness under the hood and to the exhaust note. SEE UPDATE: for some reason the exhaust volume and note was enhanced quite a bit
Tools:
small flat head screw driver
Small Phillips screw driver
10 & 12 mm socket
Needle nose pliers

Install: VERY EASY (15-20 min)
Performance enhancement 1 out of 10
Intake sound enhancement 1 out of 10
Exhaust note enhancement 2 out of 10
Under the hood Appearance 9 out of 10

Summary: If you have the extra cash and want to continue adding cool mods to your truck, this one looks incredible but if you are considering buying this for performance enhancements like horsepower and mpg you will be disappointed. If you are looking to hear a significant difference in tone there is some, but it’s minimal. Just so you know and understand this is only for looks.

UPDATE: there is slight further enhancements buy removing the TRD performance filter it came with and putting my K&N back in. I compared the two with the light test and the K&N lets in considerable more light and slightly less restriction. So.. for maximum “effect” I suggest putting in a K&N sir filter vs
the TRD.

Nope. OP how bad is your tire rub... truck looks great but I don't see how full "stuff" of the suspension works with those tires.

Not worth 400. I’d pay at most 250.
