I should have got video of pure confusion last week. My company took on a small job to fix a deck that was ready to fail across the street from our current job. I gave it to one of my younger crew members to handle. Two piers failed and two posts needed to be replaced. Because of the way it was built I added a 3rd, new, posts and pier at the corner to get rid of the cantilever that was contributing to the posts failures.

I gave the guy the formula for cubic footage of the pier base and for cubic footage of the piers. I gave him the dimensions of the base and the diameter of the sonnet tube. I let him know a 60lb bag of readymix was .47 cubic feet. I told him to get it prepped, get what he needed for concrete and get it done. He came back with 15 bags of ready mix. I asked to see the math he did for the dimensions I gave him. After I got done shaking my head I sent him back out for another 23 bags. lol

Not much. I'm thinking about going and getting my fishing license since Mono opened up Saturday. Lake George without fishing pressure is going to be glorious. At least until Mammoth lifts the no short term rentals and opens the campgrounds.

I haven't fished in I don't know how many years... Great angle you have! The fishing should be above average everywhere for a while.

Between Lake George and South Lake I get my fair share of large trout. I hit George after work since I'm already up there. Then I usually hit South Lake on the weekends I'm not wheeling. Which might be most of this season with COVID-19. Plus, most of my wheeling buddies are working on their rigs. I figure it will be August before I do any hard wheeling so might as well fish a lot until then.

I imagine that there aren't too many people out fishing.
Where will you go to hard wheeling?

Good help is hard to find. All of the qualified folks up here either don't answer their phone or find work word of mouth.

The highest concentration of hard wheeling in Cali is in the Shaver Lake area. You've got Dusy/Ershim, Coyote Lake and Mirror Lake. Coyote is the hardest of them all in that area. Then there's Fordyce off of 80. That trail is no joke. I feel lucky to have gotten off it in one piece.

There's also Johnson Valley in the spring/winter/fall. Then there's a new super secret area that I can't talk about. The super secret area is pretty much buggy only but I've run their easiest trail in my rig. AFAIK, me and a buddy are the only two guys with IFS to ever attempt and complete it.
