    Hi

I have a bad squeak coming from my rear leafs set at option 3. I was looking around and saw this. I’ve used fluid film between leafs and everything and nothing helps

Is that part of the bushing coming out? Did you torque it properly?
I torqued everything when I lowered the truck off the lift. No problem with mine, maybe you over torqued it?

But did you set it down first before torque? I made the mistake of torquing the front UCA bolt the first time I did it while it was still jacked up and it binded (what looks like yours are doing). Had to replace my bushing cause it tore it up.

I am a bit confused; so this is the second time you installed it and you torqued it after setting it to the ground and on its own weight correct?
On that topic, I do think you need a new bushing. It looks pretty torn to me and that may be the source of the squeaks.

    Ok, I gotcha.
I think that bushing is bad. May fix your squeaks after replacing it.
Edit: contact Icon, they may have a kit to just replace the bushing.

It seems to be on both sides and the bushings are in a good shape there

Would misaligned leaves have something to do? Like they are not properly lined up

Im having this issue after 4k miles. Seems like the squeak is coming from the bushings. I torqued after letting the truck "settle". Going to take a part tomorrow and check for grease in the bushings. Wondering if Icon's toque specs are too much.

Thanks for perspective on this guys. I've had mine RXT's on Stage 3 for about three months without any squeaks and as soon as the rain came, instant squeaks......or more like a groan at slow speeds when yaw and dive change on brake and acceleration.

I torqued all the bolts when jacked up and only the U-bolts again on the ground after a few weeks of driving. The U-bolts were soooo scary loose that the bottom leaf on the passenger side slid ¾ of an inch clockwise!

I hadn't paid attention to link bolts/bushings so I'll know to check them now. Makes sense I should've torqued those with the truck on the ground to avoid over torquing them as the vehicle contributes to load on the bushings.

I was thinking the groan/squeak was coming from the spacer/shims that came installed between the Icon leafs.

This forum is always such a great resource!

Like how bad and did you put the spacer plates back in?

I'm noticing that my 3k mile Icon leaf pack is squeaking like crazy too. The bushings seem fine, but I did notice that the smaller leaves were not perfectly square. Not sure how this would make the noise, but also not seeing any other reason other than that is just how they are. Overall, I am not thrilled with them... barely any arch in them. I do have 180lbs of constant load from my RSI shell, but I was hoping that they would be better than my flat OEM + AAL that I took off.

@GoldenTaco27 I don't think your squeak is coming from the leaf pack. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the shackle bushings and link bushings.

I wasn't able to eliminate my squeak by re-torquing my bolts but I've been giving my bushings a spray with white lithium grease spray and that seams to solve all issues. I keep it in my truck and it seems to require a once per month spray, taking me less than 30 seconds to do. ....probably not what Icon advertises as a solution but it works really well.

Overall, I'm exceptionally happy with the ride these springs produce and the monthly 30 seconds spray is well worth it. I run around 600lb of constant weight on Stage 3 and I love the feel of the truck on street and off road.

I've read of other springs (OME, Deaver & Rough Country) doing the same and some never having issues. I can usually plan on myself always running into an issue. Hope this info helps and Happy Holidays.

Definitely going to give this a shot today (in addition to straightening the small leaves), I appreciate the insight!
