What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Could be what @blagdawg said or the brake switch. It's easy to check, just pop your head under the dash, the button needs to be pushed in most of the way. Mine looked like it was pushing in enough, but needed a few turns for the switch to work.

But like @aroma said we need a bit more info.

 

In order of front end looks:

1. 95-97
2. 01-04
3. 98-00

Usually they’re free. Because of the whole floor mat debacle years ago. I know we still give them out for free. If you need the repair piece for the hole in the carpet that usually comes at a slight cost

Can you elaborate? The previous owner really buggered up the hole in the carpet (holy innuendo) when he decided to remove the hook so he could install the $5 generic mats

 

There’s 2 plastic pieces that can repair the hole. I’d have to dig up part numbers. But the dealer should know what it is. I believe it was less than 5 bucks
