Not exactly the same spot, but talked to someone about Badger lake, and there is still a lot of snow up in that area. Guy almost rolled is Jeep getting into it last week.

I was able to upload GXP files for trail maps into my free Gaia by choosing the app to open the file after download...or by dow loading into Google drive and when opening it automatically uploaded into Gaia.
Although, with how much I use the app I could upgrade to the paid version if you could tell me exactly what other features I'd get. Haha.

pretty much the same place. Bennett pass is one of the ways into badger. And with some of those drop offs I wouldn’t have tried it. Haha

Okay-I couldn’t remember. If you take 35 to Bennett Pass you can get into Badger Lake?

I dislike this app, it is just not intuitive to me at all. I got the file to upload to my account, but I could not get it to show on my phone with the free version. Maybe I am just tarded, I dunno.

The biggest thing I got from upgrading is map layers and access to maps I couldn't see before. I am now able to layer maps on top of maps and it looks much easier to read.

Still haven't had a lot of time to play with it. Going out tomorrow, and I will be using it a lot.

    Here is a list:

    https://www.gaiagps.com/membership/

I emailed them and asked about android auto. They said google will not allow third party navigation maps on AA. So the cannot offer this until they do. Almost tempted to buy an old iphone to make this work on my dash.

been using Gia for many years and like it. Mainly on backpacking trips/hiking. You can download trips like from trailsoffroad or otherwebsites in gpx format too. Couple other formats it supports but that’s the main one.

Love Gaia, spent countless hours mapping out gravel cycling routes and trail linkups (for running and backpacking), just plotted out a bajillion POIs to check out next time I’m in the Owyhee, and used it two winters ago to find a way to access an obscure ice climb in SW Colorado without trespassing on private property, which everyone said there was no way around but just because everybody says something don’t make it so. Always been a dork for orienteering, plenty savvy with a map and compass. Love looking at historic topos and finding lost trails (and springs).

Shoot, when I was in New Zealand I used Gaia exclusively to stay found when I was out tramping, there’s an entire New Zealand layer, but I’m sure like anything it’s just about what tool works best for you.

I’m all Apple and even though it displays on my aftermarket receiver, being a 1st gen the screen might as well be on the floor. Mounted a ram ball to the a-pillar so I can see the phone.

Raptor Line went well, sprayed yesterday when humidity was fairly low, set up a tarp to keep any rain drops off this morning, looks so much better.

Just realized I have the lifetime legacy Gaia membership. I can see how the free download is pretty worthless. The whole point of the thing is to go offline and if you can’t do that then what then?!

That looks like a sheet of ice. Wonder how that happened exactly. Guessing he tried to go over that log, lost traction and couldn't recover it before sliding off the road. Hope he didn't break too much.

Lifetime membership. That's awesome. $40 a year is what they are asking for the full deal these days.

Anyone ever camp at Keeps Mill campground? See mixed reviews and wondering if it’s to keep people away from a sweet spot or if it’s as bad as some say.
