Thanks for the input on my friends car. Why her ex husband doesn’t just pony up for a newer car is beyond me. He’s not hurting for money (he brings in $15k a month).

Anyway, seems like a 50/50 thing. Car is in otherwise good shape. It’s a GT, so basic model. I will relay your thoughts.

The GT has the more common and cheaper Corolla engine. Hopefully she can work something out one way or the other.

Had to make a jig for my skill saw to cut 2x4’s length wise.

 

There ya go. Nice. That wasn't so difficult was it. We'll make a people person out of you yet.

So I’m using plywood for the cabinet sides.
I hate seeing the edges.
So I indented the 2x4’s the proper amounts so they fit flush with the ply for a nice side view.

 

Very professional looking. I sure Mark "wood" approve.

It’s all done except for the doors.
I have 2 or 3 ways I can do them.
Not sure which way to go yet.
Maybe I’ll wait until I get them on.
I have way to much shit lying around..

 

As far as I got and punched out. Getting cranky, kept dropping everything, my poor left thumb has been whacked several times with the hammer (sharpshooter in the military but cant hit a frikin nail with a hammer thats right next to it..)
And the chickens were being a pain in the ass and under foot because they wanted me to cook em some noodles, but i’m in charge here so.. theyre getting noodles.

Upside down doing J Channels with the vinyl in the way, right handed. Ended up using needle nosed pliers after a half dozen smacks. Takes me a few but I figure things out eventually. Usually.
