Ranger of the same year range was 1.2" shorter and 1" narrower. I think you have a Ford ranger cap. You should be able to sell it for near what you got it for... hopefully.

I'm not sure where you're located but here in the Northeast I constantly see caps for sub $600. Caps for 2nd Gen trucks tend to be cheaper because they are older. The cheapest I've ever seen was "free" from a dealer that took two of them off trade in's and was going to throw them in the trash. A buddy on here just picked up a contractors cap for $200 in excellent shape.

Also, someone just posted up a softopper on the NE CL thread for $150.

Your's may not fit correctly but as long as it is secured enough to never come off on the road and hurt anyone or damage your truck and you are happy with it, roll with it.

Yeah I imagine they're more popular up north. I'm down here in The Lone Star State of Texas only caps I'm seeing here are for f-150s and Rams

I've seen some that i wish i could get shipped here from Cali but the owner(s) would lose profit on the sale if they shipped it so I've had to stay local for that matter

I know a lot of people in Texas, top to bottom and will ask around for you. Unless you want to come over and introduce yourself? You're more than welcome to. I'm active on three threads. One is the Texas Toyota Coalition, and I'm a member of that club. All really great people on all those threads.

This is the Infamous Chadspride Build Thread.

This is my Texas Brothers build page, Maner. He's a serious Boss on a smoker so if you like to cook or eat meats, this is the place to be.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bigdaddy’s-buzzed-shop-builds-beer-bbq-an-bs.613141/

This is the TTC thread and it doesn't get any more texas than this.

The TTC peeps have cars and coffee meets all the time. They also set up wheeling events at Hidden Falls. There's a list of members and where they are on the first page of the TTC thread. There are a lot of members. You could just see who's close to you and tag them in a post. Just put an @ symbol in front of their name like this

@ChadsPride and then Chad gets a notice that I want him to see my post.

I disagree... The 1st gen shells would fit the length of a 2nd gen and the rear would be wider than shown in the photos... This was NOT for a taco.

This is just a screen shot of the members in the DFW are, not actual tags.
    upload_2020-5-26_14-26-6.jpg
    But these are actual tags.........

@Bigdaddy4760 Maner, and @Pandaman59 Frank, are my two partners in crime in the DFW area. Watch em' with a keen eye, they will be the first to get you into trouble. :fistbump:
