    @Noelie84 how were the black flies up North? For some reason they were fucking brutal down in OGT (northern MA). They killed my kids who are still covered in welts. One got my sons ear and it swole up to about 3x it's normal size. Not sure what the deal was. In all the years i've been going up there i've never encountered any besides around the sand dunes at the beach. This was like you were in the middle of a NMW swamp in July.

    @LivinLoud

    Should be easy enough :D

    Down here the woods were brutal but the coastline and middle of my back yard wasn't bad at all, maybe a few at dusk but that was it.

    Sure did! Got some miles on the motorcycle (including some dirt miles!) and, fortunately or unfortunately, had some mechanical issues with it. Bike wouldn't start so I was able to loosen the band clamps on either end of the carb so I could get at the bottom, cleaned out the jets and she fired up nicely. Whole job took about 45 minutes, love the single cylinder simplicity! That was followed by a slight oil leak. Looks like I need to replace a crush washer on one of the right cover plugs. I have to pull the whole cover off to add the kick start components and going to replace the clutch while I have it all opened up. Not a ton of play left on the clutch but figure the parts are relatively cheap so I might as well replace everything I need to while the cover is off. New clutch has 10% stiffer springs which I'm looking forward to. After running the bike through back roads, it definitely needs to be regeared if she's going to primarily road use. It held 60 just fine, but it's turning 6k RPMs which is a little high. I did get the bike in the dirt over the weekend also, which was a blast. I rode some of the old trails I rode as a kid until I came across a row of jersey barriers someone set up. Trails have been nicely maintained and, judging by the amount of tracks, are still frequently used.

    They were brutal two weekends ago in henniker nh area... They were bearable in the RI spot. I started spraying down with Repel 100 and treating my clothes with Sawyer beforehand

    They're not bad at all around the house or at camp, but at my parent's place in Farmington they were brutal Friday night when we were dropping off the piglets. Literal clouds of them. And they've been pretty bad in the woods while I've been out after turkeys, but I always bring my thermacell so they're only bad for the first couple of minutes, until it gets warmed up. So what I've been doing is picking a spot, turning the thermacell on, and pulling my balaclava up over my entire face for the first couple of minutes.

    A few weeks ago along the gas lines they were miserable. But, we (at least I) didn't have any spray on. Next time I will.

    It was pretty crappy. Never had them like that besides around the sand dunes. Didn't stop the giblets from playing outside all weekend though (and if Gov. Mills asks we were defiantly home in MA the whole time...)

    How muddy was it up there? I want to get out soon up there. I was also thinking of doing the ENH TNHX route one weekend before I have to actually go into the office.

    Nothing out of the ordinary for that area. Surprisingly low waterline for some of the wetter areas. I think I hit more water in RI haha

    Hi NE peeps, back in the office full time again. No more working from home, sleeping late, 25 minute showers, 2 hour lunches, going to the dump or grocery store at lunch... Now I need to look busy while being in the office!

    Hows everyone making out these days? It was too difficult for me to log on at home to check in with y'all on the regular!

    Well I figured that, but it doesn't explain what he was doing with the other 23 minutes and 48 seconds.

    Immediately moving on...

    Some pics from the weekend. The toys loaded up:

    I wanted to try something a little lighter. This kit is a bit more complicated than the last one. The last one was just boil, throw in hop pellets and then ferment. This one has a bunch of different grains and flavorings that have to be added at different times during the initial boil.
