So I finally went over to my brother's apartment and inspected the hail damage on the vehicle he gave me in exchange for the Tundra.

It's a 2009 Mercury Mariner. ~125K 3.0 V6 6 speed auto. Highest trim minus the AWD system. It didn't have any damaged glass that I saw, but it's paint got wrecked. The hood and roof are filled with hundreds of paint chips. The hood, all four doors, liftgate, and roof all are covered in tiny dings too. The Tundra came out rather untouched even though it was parked right next to it. I keep wondering if they'll total the Mariner over it if a claim is made. My friend had his 2015 F-150 totaled but it took some baseball hail to every panel and lost some glass.

I should've just sold it when the paint was mint earlier this month, but I was busy with final exams and didn't want to deal with selling a car at the time. Also didn't expect the largest hailstorm here since 1995.

Yeah I hate my 99's horn. I figure a Tundra horn pair will bolt right up if I extend the harness. But there are more pressing matters with that thing. So the wimpy horn stays.

My car sucked a cam plug seal in so open hole on the side of the head directly to the crank case, oil splooged everywhere

I just replaced the torn intake boot and put a new torque strut mount on it, it was running and driving soo nice

Sounds like fun. So you still have the 4Runner right? Just messing around with this Camry.

Yeah ive just been ignoring the 4 runner its gotten boring and expencive, i bought a manual trans and t case to do an ls swap on it just need the time to make the money for that to happen, but need to finish school and move on with life

The camry is cheap as far as parts and gas plus its easy to work on

Its better in every single way as a daily imho aside from being ugly af

Got the tires rotated last week, and found out after going thru a corner on the freeway at 90 that the wear on my front tires from rubbing is due to body roll LOL

Looks like its round 2 then. Wear might actually be towards the back of the wheel well to the pinch weld area
