Any guitar players on TW?

All mine on my Roadstars are all blocked off to dive down only. Both my EVH Striped series were as well.
Makes things so much easier.

 

I would like a Roadstar someday.

 

Havnt seen to many decent ones show up lately.
There was a RS100NT that showed up yesterday. It was absolutely gorgeous. But it sold in a couple hours. Not that I could afford it anyway.

I bought a used Ibanez S670QM from Guitar Center a while back. It said “excellent condition” which turned out to be greatly exaggerated. It was really dirty and had visible feet wear, but I cleaned and polished it up and put a new set of strings on, so it looked good.

I was really struggling to get it playing right and tuned, I thought it was from the Floyd rose. I bought a Tremol-no for it which worked great to block the trem. The action was so low it that the high e was laying on the board when fretted at the 1st fret. It was then that I discovered the truss rod was stripped.

So luckily Guitar Center has a good return policy so they took it back. I’m out the cost of shipping, strings, and the tremol-no (I took it out but I’m not going to try to return it).

I don’t know that I’ll buy another used guitar without getting hands on it first.

 

Another very cool Roadstar for sale.
This one is a black RS440, 1984.
I need this color to finish out my 440 color collection but to find a correct pickguard won't be easy. The tortoise shell really gives it a nice feel though.

You could part this out and easily make your money back. The pro rok'r trem can easily fetch $250.
The only thing I see wrong with it is it has incorrect screws on the locking nut.

 

Saw that one. Really nice even if not correct. Keeping my eyes on local stuff. Tired of shipping, not being able to see in person. Another thing, as time marches on, these Roadstars are getting more expensive. The GIO's are cheap, what's your opinion on those?

Heard the guitars were crap but I've never played one. I'd take a jem jr or 450dx over a gio.

I noticed some marks on the back of the neck near the headstock. Did you see those?

 

Where head and neck meet? They look kinda symmetrical (right word?) Like cracks?

 

They don't look like cracks. Just some scratches.

 

Or look at the "85" 440.
It's been on for over a year. Few minor scratches but looks complete. Bet he would take an offer.

 

Those trem bars are rare to have one with the guitar.
Not sure about a case though.

Also, no one's made an offer in over a year.

Granted, the "84" looks cleaner, but same guitar.

 

I hate that sweetwater doesn't let you just view all cases/bags. I'm trying to find just a gig bag for the ES but it only pops up with the hard case when I do the case finder, and I'm not about to drop $120 on a case I don't really need. But I can't find any gig bags at all to even look at.

 

I'd just spend the $119 and get a hard case.
Guitar center may even carry them if you have one lical.

 

I don't think the GS are open unfortunately. Not sure I really need a case since it just sits on it's stand in my office so I can grab it and play when I have downtime.
