Wow the Apex Nano 208BHS is legit exactly what I am after. Having the slide out really opens up the interior with 2 small kids.

Yeah you can get around and use the whole camper with the slide in, which can be useful, but it is amazing how much roomier it feels and opens it up when you extend the slide!

This is the category I am looking at the 213rds fits me a little better, the minnie's from winnebago seem good too. Do you think the RV's are going to get discounted?

The Winnebago Micro Minnie 2306BHS also fits the bill but its a bit heavier UVW. 6'4" interior and is 7ft wide. Winnie has 2 propane tanks versus Apex 1 tank. Similar holding tanks. Similar awnings. Similar warranties. Apex has the outdoor kitchen. Winnie has the ladder to get on the roof. Not sure about the tires or axle types. The Apex Nano 208bhs is 7.5ft and has 6ft 9" interior making it the possible winner for me. Obviously gotta go look at them in person now.

That Winne is pretty nice too! I like the bathroom/shower in it a lot and a couple other things I think are done better than the Apex. I do like the Azdel construction of the Apex though, which is what keeps it lighter as well I believe, along with having double sized bunks to give the kids a bit more space. I think either or though are good options depending on your needs and preferences. Let us know what you get and put up some pics of the new rig with your Tacoma when you do!

I'm thinking of buying a trailer with similar specs. Here is my research so far (smallest to largest):

    G16BH Forest River GeoPro
    Bunks: 2x single, Axles: 1, Dry: 2870, Gross: 3800, Hitch: 350

    194BHS Coachmen Apex Nano
    Bunks: 2x single, Axles: 1, Dry: 3634, Gross: 4800, Hitch: 428

    208BHS Coachmen Apex Nano
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry: 3948, Gross: 6000, Hitch: 516

    245BHS Coachmen Apex Ultralight
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry: 4584, Gross: 6500, Hitch: 578

    240 BH SL Keysone Passport
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry: 4911, Gross: 7000, Hitch: 535

    24BH Forest River Impression
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry 4940, Gross: 7505, Hitch: 505

    240BHLE Forest River Surveyor Legend
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry: 5137, Gross: 7517, Hitch: 517

    26BH Forest River Impression
    Bunks: 2x double, Axles: 2, Dry: 5530, Gross: 7555, Hitch: 555

I'll be renting a 245BHS Apex Ultralight this summer, if the covid restrictions lift. I will have to see how it tows with my '17 TRD sport MT. The downside of the 245BHS is the relatively heavy hitch. If it's too big or the towing is too stressful, I'll think about the 208BHS or 194BHS.
Anything larger than the 245BHS will have to travel mostly empty (no tankering water, ect due to weight) which limits their usefulness. I think the G16BH looks cute, and it's a good use of space, but I don't know if I can live with something so small.

This would be about the max I would consider and I don't mind pulling more than a marshmallow. Slow down 65max, weight dist. hitch and let the truck engine rev. max torque starts in the 3500 rpm range. transmission cooler - additional, watch transmission temps with an add on gauge and use the S mode to keep in no higher than 4,5 on a downhill or possibly a flat road.

I would stop at the 208BHS Apex Nano. I would have a look at the Winnebago too though that I mentioned in the above post. 245BHS is pushing it IMO. I only want 2 axles. 1 axle is a no go for a variety of reasons. This class of RV is great for a small family without having to go to a 1/2 ton truck. The slide is so good for giving room.

That's what I compared when I was shopping - 208 vs 245. The tongue and overall weight (once loaded) was just pushing the max limits too much with the 245 for what I felt comfortable. I wanted to leave a little wiggle/safety room in there, so I ended up buying the 208BHS. There are a few things I wish I could have gotten that came with the 245 and aren't on the 208, but we make do. =)

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I like that camper. The only thing I can say is for $20k, they could have put a 16 or maybe even 18' awning on. There's plenty of room before the hotwater tank.

Yeesh, after selling a 2017 Micro Minnie 1706fb three years ago I end up buying a 2020 Micro Minnie 1706fb. Sold the 2017 for $13.5k, bought the 2020 new off the lot for $18.5k.

Pretty much the same trailer but the 2020 has a factory lift and 15" wheels, the 2017 I paid $1k for a shop to lift it and it had 14" wheels.

The past ten years I've been through four travel trailers and two Class B camper vans trying to find the perfect setup for onroad and offroad.

This 1706fb the second time around will have to do.
    - 2980lbs dry
    - 19.2'
    - Huge fridge/freezer combo
    - 3-burner stove and oven
    - Two sinks
    - Dual torsion axles
    - Ducted furnace
    - Huge passthrough storage
    - Walkable roof
    - Big fresh and holding tanks
    - Dual LP tanks and batteries
    - 12" clearance at the axles and the sewage drain
    - Aluminum/fiberglass body, steel frame
    - Decent sized bathroom/shower, furnace is ducted into the bathroom.

After dicking around with Class B's, a TrailManor 2619, a Dutchmen 166E hybrid, an R-pod, the 1706fb seems the best compromise. And all RV choices are compromises.

Finally got the NoBo out for the first time in a few months. Had this booked before COVID came about and they never cancelled (since it's a private RV park instead of a state park) so decided to get a nice little vacation out of town in Sequim, WA. Drinking, fishing, golfing - it was a good Memorial Day weekend all things considered.

Is that the 16'? I've got a 10.5 on order since the factory was closed down.

Yeah, the 16.5. I think they stopped making it this year and it's been replaced by the 16.2.
