I bought a crimper year ago on Amazon.

Yeah, I got some TEMCo welding cable. They’re based in Fremont. I’m not sure if they manufacture there.

I forgot what size I got but the wire part (not including insulation) is about as thick as a sharpie marker.
Maybe 1/0? I don’t think it was 2/0.
It’s about a 18 foot run total so it’s pretty far. It’s been working fine since I started driving the truck again last November.

In addition to the amp draw of starting I have a Smitty built XRC 10k# winch. It’s rated at 450 amps at the highest.
I put a 350 amp breaker (it trips at 350 after like 10 seconds or something) right by the starter battery too. I’ve used the winch lightly a couple times. So far so good. I’m pretty good about following the 30 seconds on 30 second of rule.

Was just there like an hour ago. Nice place during the week when its locals. weekends are insane.

 

Damn. finally had a drive to the office without a traffic jam.
The only other traffic was a real bear. He was to quick for pics.

 

Never in my life have I seen a bear in the woods. Sucks! Would love to see one from a distance.

 

They really aren't something to be afraid of. They're like people, just give them space and they'll move on after a while.
