I have a 2007 Tacoma with a fabtech drop bracket 6in lift. Got new shocks from rough country to replace fabtech 6in spacer for full length strut. Got the shocks installed and when the truck is jacked up it’s exactly where it’s supposed to sit. When I lower the truck from the jack it sits 3 1/2in lower in the front than the rear. I can’t drive my truck right now because the uca angles are not healthy and I don’t want to get an alignment until it’s fixed. Please help. What do you think is going on here? First pic is when the truck is let down from the jack and second is when it’s jacked up and truck sits level

your shocks are too short. you need that spacer to compensate for the LCA drop bracket height.

I ordered the 6in lifted struts because they are made to replace the spacer up front. If I put the 6in spacer back in them the truck would be 3inches too high in the front

Kind of confused but I didn't know they make coilovers capable of achieving 6 inches of lift?

Edit: Stronger spring rate to compensate for the steel bumper?

Almost looks like the shock isn’t long enough.

The bumper weighs approx. 150lbs. It shouldn’t drop the front end 3 1/2 inches?

A longer shock or a significantly heavier spring would help.

So you got 6” lift shocks but the truck is 3” too low. If you add the 6” spacer back in, its 3” too high. It stands to reason that the shocks are 3” too short. They probably sent you the wrong shocks. Call the vendor.

It would if the springs are like 500 lb rate and the ones you had before were 650 or something.

I did and they sent me new shocks. But they are the same length as the old ones. They are the right size according to the box

I had stock shocks and springs on before with the 6in spacer

Maybe they are made to lift a factory truck with drop bracket 6”. With the bumper adding a bunch of weight it can quickly lose 2 or 3”

But wouldn’t that be the same if a 150lb person jumped in the front seat and the truck dropped 3 inches because of just 150lbs?
