    I forgot about Ice that's right. I'll be investigating this stuff tomorrow! By investigating I mean replacing coolant. Both in the engine and in the blower.. I just need to decide which one will work better.

    Oh that's real nice!

    I still consider a radiator, but the other half of me says why drop so much money if the current one still works.

    Careful with just water and wetter.
    Boiling point is likely lower.

    You can do 30% coolant 70% water and wetter to still provide the protection needed and achieve enhanced cooling.

    Hey @White lightning boosted how much water wetter did you use in the blower cooling system?

    I am going to buy two bottles later of water wetter and am trying to figure out how much of each I am going to need to dump into each cooling system. I'm thinking a full bottle for the engine along with the needed water for it and then the question mark for me is the blower cooling system.

    As @Lucario Runner stated the radiator needs both incoming and exiting airflow.
    Without both, efficiency of the system is compromised.

    Imagine a cardboard box laying down with one side open and a radiator flush mounted to the opening then put a fan in fron of the radiator.
    How much air do you tink would flow through the radiator?

    Now open the back of the box to allow air to escape.
    How much air do you think would flow through the radiator then?

    Could always go jdm with a hood riser washer spacer. cheap and easy. Also besides cleaning you could also check for air in the system from a leak like the weep hole for example.

    I mean, not that often. But when it does the the truck runs the exact same temperature.

    Edit: there is both latent and sensible so maybe that plays a part?

    You know, I didn't think about this but the skid plates thing really doesn't help releasing air, especially on scorching hot days.

    I should probably pull off the rear cowl gasket.. I usually do every summer anyways, but it's going to have to be a regular thing now because of the blower and everything that's going on in there just convecting heat.

    Heat rises, I wouldn’t worry about skids too much. It’s warming up out here this week so I’ll be testing my hood louvers to see how much that helps with my IAT’s. I can add a PID to log coolant temps as well. But from visual cues from yesterday’s wheeling adventures, the heat pours out of them quite nicely.

    Heat rises while you are at a standstill, but if it's trapped by a crap ton of skids while the truck is moving, the cooling system is going to have a harder time shedding that heat now isn't it?
