I'm wanting to add plain white LEDS for my drl/ turn signals. I know that tacomas have a wiring issue where switchbacks won't stay white . I painted that housing yellow to match my fogs. Anyway I have the resistors for my white bulbs. Im just wondering if anyone else has added resistors to these bulbs and which wire was it?

It’s not the trucks fault. :D

It’s not the trucks fault the aftermarket light doesn’t work with the factory wiring. The truck was never meant to have a drl that the changed colors.

Okay. I'm asking if anyone's done a mod and added an aftermarket led with a resistor and what wire they spliced

Will that get rid of the problem I've had with them staying amber when they should be white?

I have an LED for my blinker bulb, and resistors hooked up because of it.

You're just trying to find out what wires to tap? I have a 14, so not sure if your wire colors will be the same as mine.

Is this what you are trying to see/find out?

yes. VLED’s have switchbacks that will be white in DRL and when headlights are on. Then switch to amber when turn signals or hazards are used.

Okay. The switchbacks I have now I've used the same brand before on my civic and they worked perfectly even had built in resistors. Just annoying that they won't work with my tacoma
