    I wouldn't mind picking up some more at $23 if it gets that low again :D They're one of my long-term holdings and I'm more comfortable with my position now

    Check out the AMD 19 JUN 20 $55 calls for $0.98 ish...This swings $50-55 almost weekly...if you like to 2x your money and it's worth the risk they could be $2 each in a week...

    I don't know, did it do that with the 80,000+ flu deaths in 2018? It returned -6.59% that year. Should have been up on that despair. Oh nevermind, nobody even knew that happened.

    It's the option to buy 100 shares of AMD for $55 a share on June 19, 2020. You pay $0.98x100 shares (all options contracts are in lots of 100 shares) $98 today for that right. So as the price of AMD goes up so does the value of that right or option. If AMD goes down the value of that contract decreases. If on June 19 AMD is below $55 a share the contract is worthless...If AMD is $58 a share the contract is worth $3.00x100 shares, $300.
    Contracts have 2 main factors determining their value, the value of the shares and time remaining on the contract..So if AMD jumps toward $55ish in the next week with 2+ weeks left on the contracts They would be around $2 each...2x your money...
