SR5 grill

Is there any difference between a regular 2014 tacoma grill, and a 2014 SR5 grill? I ordered a 2014 OEM replacement part from toyota to color match with my truck, but toyota flagged the order as not matching what came with my truck. They cant seem to tell me the difference between the two.

 

The grill is just the center potion that is black. The shroud would have been chrome on a SR5 or TRD OR and body color on a sport. Base model trucks would have had a grey shroud.

 

If your truck did not come with a color matched grill , technically you can not order one for it. Each vin says specifically what was on your truck. Toyota is a bit finicky about this unfortunately. May take getting to know the parts guy better or just remove the bezel and have a paint shop do yours.

 

Thanks for the correction. It is the shroud I am trying to order. Would the non SR5 shroud still fit? Is the only difference the finish?

 

Toyota would allow me to order it, but freaked me out when they said they didnt think it would fit so I cancelled my order.

What are they charging for Just the shroud/bezel. I only paid 170 for the entire color matched grill assembly(grill and shroud) as a unit.

 

This piece will fit 2012-2015 no issues. You’ll be fine.

 

Does anyone have the part numbers for just the shrouds?May help me when i go to the dealer today after work.

 

Still $170 for both, and I cant locate just the shroud. This has been so helpful, and now I realize I shouldnt have let toyota freak me out. Let me know if you can find the part # for the shroud only.

 

I am afraid that even the painted ones from toyota may not match perfectly but its gotta be better than a rattle can.

When I installed my CaliRaised faux Pro Grille, I wanted the color matched shroud for my TRD OR, in place of the chrome one. My local dealer quoted me some extreme price (but were still will to sell it to me), so I went online and bought one from another Toyota dealer. The thing is, it was sold as the complete grille, not just the shroud. I wanted what I wanted so I bought it. It's available, just may need to get it online.

Keep in mind it's for my color code as I don't know what color your truck is, but I'm sure you can search that out.

Even with the high shipping cost to Hawaii from ordering online, it was still about a $100 cheaper than me going to my local Toyota Parts Dept.

 

Yes for both. Oem from my dealer. I believe the oem comes as an assembly(entire grill assembly)
