Keep in mind that just because your lot says you have 30 amp service, it doesn’t mean your 110v outlets in that panel have 30 amps. Those are likely 15 amp plugs but you may wanna check with the manager there. Do not try and plug the Hobart 140 (110v machine) into that large 30 amp port.

The receptacle on the left appears to be 125V @ 30A. Regardless, the Hobart Handler 140 is a 115V rated welder @ 20A input. You are looking at the output which is completely different. Those receptacles on the right appear to be 20A rated (both by he receptacles and the 20A breaker) so you should be good to go on the right side receptacles.

Stupid amount of extra heavy metal all over
They're pretty useful, I made this recently for my quarantine camper overhaul to bend all new exterior sheet metal from some scrap I had laying around. Made it 48" wide, and the bends toward the middle aren't as sharp as on the ends closer to the hinges. Discovered a trick of shoving an extra piece of sheet in the middle to get a more consistent bend the whole way across, but not in time to correct some of my metal for the camper.... oh well.

Added some little doodads to make life easier. A couple ground bolts that the machines will stay grounded to. Some other bolts to hang cords on. Some tube to put my torches in. A hanger for my grinders and clamps. I’m sure I’ll add more as I use the table.

You do know you're just getting started?

I've been revamping my set up for 25 years. It's seems I wake myself out of a solid sleep with a new idea want to try more and more...

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh I believe it. Just like what I do with my truck. Use it, tweak it, use it more, the cycle continues.

I think that’s more of a personality type of many of us here. We continuously modify things to fit our needs for the time being.

my weld table maintenance routine is sanding it every once in a while with a DA and giving it a light wipe down with WD40. I weld pretty much every weekend but only sand it every 3-4 months or so. Just to clean up any slag or BBs that got stuck to the table. The light wd40 coating is barely enough to shine the table and protect it without leaving a greasy residue. I’d recommend it but see for yourself- since you put your laptop on the table it might not be as comfortable with the WD40.

    Looks really good!

I’ve always wanted to build a welding table but I safely turn my welder on once a year these days so I can’t justify it right now.

That’s a great idea. I only have the laptop there so I can “work from home” while I’m in the garage dicking off. I’ll half hearted answer emails between laying beads.

I feel like I’m always adding unwarranted advice but it may be helpful to you- if you add some lengths of bar stock you can use that to keep your cut off wheels and flap disks. I have a small peg board for that and extra tabs and whatnot but it’s the same idea.
