    Does anyone know what is required to fit the non direct replacement fox rear shocks with a 1.5 inch lift on my 96?

    Or am I just better off going with the direct fit icon option?

    There are only so many options for the rear of our trucks; if you want to put in a quality set you could perform a shock relocation as @Tour991 suggested or read the following below -

    The Fox universal's that'll fit our trucks are part number - 985-24-004

    The bushing if I recall is 5/8" which needs to be replaced with one at 3/4" (it's been awhile, going off memory)

    Here's how they came to me from the factory -

    And here they are with the larger bushing -

    And here they are on the truck -

    @Noob95.5

    Given the valving of the Fox shocks, I would recommend against using them unless you plan on going off-road as well as carrying weight in the rear.

    Here you can see I also have a set of Bilstein 5100s (as shown in the post above) and find them to be a lot more forgiving without my tent and rack in the back -

    My truck is a pig with the weight I carry, so off road that's when the Fox shocks shine -
