Man, I have no clue what you all are talking about with all this fishing gear.

I'm afraid to start looking in to it because, well, I have enough expensive habits.

Looks like there are a few formulas now. There used to be just one and it was fantastic.

I use a cheap good lb test 6 or 8 for my mainline and use the good stuff for my leaders. It's good to refresh line a couple of times a year and doing that with as many reels as we all have.. it gets expensive at 25, 30 bucks a pop.

We never fished there. Had a couple of friends with boats so we'd go out early and ski.

all this line talk, spinning reels I use trilene fireline -4-6-8 lb test, I half the spools with mono, then the rest with the fireline, love fireline, strong, no memory, cast a mile, and I don't replace it, unless the spool is real low, if have a couple of reels that have 2-3yr old fireline on it, mono, as @JaCado stated, I re-spool twice a year, or when the spool is thin

Lots of algae close to shore and a few docks closed and ones open had tons of people on it. This was early morning. But yes, also a good picnic spot.
