That’s all great until some Yahoo texting rear ends you. Never been a fan of rear hitch racks for that reason and for road debris and grime collecting on the bike.

To each his own, definitely considered that. The 1up tucks up enough where I haven't had any debris or dirt get on my bikes so far.

I considered a sideride or a tray on the bed bars, but really thought I would forget it up there and drive through a drive through or into the garage without thinking and smack the bike. Decided that was more likely as I still have never been rear ended, but I could forget the bike up top occasionally.

I run a RTT and hard tonneau permanently, so the tailgate pad wasn't going to work for me either.

Yep, there’s faults with most any rack. I’m about to pull the trigger on a above the bed rack so I can have storage room under the bike. I’ll have that same issue with forgetting and going in the garage or a low drive through and crumple the bike, first world problems.

Ive done it before. When I first started biking. Was in a rush to use the restroom and forgot the bike was up there. Luckily the rack broke, causing the bike to fall over. Only had to replace the front wheel. Had to use the restroom so bad that I left everything there went to the restroom and came back. hahahaha so now I get worried about having the bike up so high.

Sorry about your bike/rack though! Glad the damage wasn’t too bad!

Not so sure about these new grips. I dig the oil slick, but didn’t realize the green was translucent. Also not loving the larger diameter. I typically run the slim sized Ergons, but could only find the oil slick clamps in the ‘standard’ diameter.

Not sure on your hand size but I can't get grips big enough, bigger the better. I'd give them a shot, they look rad.

Yeah the retail pics look more olive green but I dig those. I’m with you on the smaller grips too though haha

I tried to send my Medium RevGrips back, hated them, customer service convinced me to give it another shot with the Large size and it made all the difference.

I looked at those when I ordered the Ergon enduro saddle with the slick rails, but the green was not my speed on the latest build. But the oil slick is nice. And I second running them, larger grips are the best, though I also have larger hands.

Lower service is about as easy as it gets. Worst part is waiting on the oil to drain fully, I always get impatient and end up spilling a few random drops on the floor.

Interesting, how is it different? I feel like I can get a better grip on the bars with the smaller diameter. The biggest ones I’ve used are probably the ODI/TLD grips and I don’t even think they are that big haha

I def have smallish hands. Usually size 8-9/medium gloves. I’ve gotten kinda used to the smaller diameter grips so we’ll see.

I do really like the oil slick clamp though.
Now that I look at them online again, the color I got is called Frozen Moss. That similar shade of green with the black clamp is called Deep Moss. The colors looked pretty identical to me in the pics.

I’ll give them a go. Not gonna break the bank if I decide they aren’t my jam and need to order more.

I have the same saddle headed my way. This build is gonna be pretty subtle. Went with the green to be a slight contrast. The oil slick bits seemed like they might gel well with the purple frame.
