Finally going out for a ride. Not sure if ill go with the neighbor because he doesn't have legit plates (in the mail) and i dont want to be responsible if he gets pulled over - being 18 and first sports bike. But will see

Speaking of wheelies. While heading home yesterday at a left turn light on to PCH saw a dude on a dyna pull a fat wheelie across the intersection

 

Was a nice chill ride for an hour. He used to race dirt bikes, but now switched to street. He also only had a trip permit, so no speeding here. We just need to go out to some country roads, next time.

 

Oh jeeze... 18 and a full super sport track bike.... im betting he goes down in the first 3-4 months. EVERY. SINGLE. NEW. RIDER. I have told to NOT GET THE 600 cc sport bike as a first bike.... who goes n gets one, ends up in a crash. At least he has moto experience... he might be better off.

I saw a guy do a wheelie across the entire length of the 10th Street Bridge... on a Grom. It was wild. He maintained his lane position and everything.


I got out today for a scoot, but I stopped by my favorite parking lot for some basic exercises.
Remembering the awesome tips in that video that @uurx posted the other week, I tried the counterbalancing technique using my body weight on the pegs, and it totally made a difference.
I am leaning this bike pretty well now, and getting all kinds of feedback from it in terms of physics and inertia. I’m getting to the point where I can make emergency maneuvers without fear, like a natural reaction with muscle memory.

Got a wild hair up my anus and decided to ride to Portland and eat some fresh fried halibut and chips with a cold IPA. Yum yums

 

Just picked up a 2020 Suzuki SV650. My 5th Suzuki . Already bought a Yoshimura fender eliminator kit and Leo Vince slip on. Can't wait for this weather to cool down a bit and ride!
