What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Lol, that turns a 20 dollar mod into a 420 dollar mod. I'd like to just do the entire 2012 conversion

 

Foglights are such a big aesthetic and purposeful upgrade. Looks awesome and proper dirty!

Dang that looks stupid clean, love the color match and LEDs.

I would've probably asked for an exchange for the item I purchased. It doesn't look bad, adds alot of contrast. I would be worried about light output myself more than anything

Added some 3M sound deadening material to all 4 door skins, rear cab wall and floor in an attempt to make the Taco quieter on the highway. Also added cotton pads in the cavity's around the seatbelts inside the B & C pillars and the interior trim panels. It works pretty well in noise reduction, what really surprised me is the the improvement coming from my audio system, the highs and bass are so much cleaner and tight. Next is dropping the headliner and adding pads to the roof. Worth every penny IMO. As an accidental bonus the doors have a nice thunk when closing now.

@andrewiniguez here is a great thread on the topic. @crashnburn80 has done extensive light testing on all fog lights stated as SAE compliant. The conclusion is that the ones you have are not compliant, a potential danger to other drivers, and should not be used as fog lights. However, for offroad they'd be great. Start here and go back for discussions, testing, reviews, etc on your lights.

looks nice. I’ve done the same setup and filter. Except mine is manual on. Don’t need it on all the time.

 

Well we started this today, only spent about 2 hours on it so far, but got the bed sides welded up, will do sandwich plate for bed tomorrow and clean up/grind/smooth out welds! This 10inches should help with departure quite a bit.

 

What’s your plan for the bedsides? Gonna use body filler and paint or go a quicker route?

Smooth it out as best as possible and my buddy is making a 4in vinyl strip for each side with a EO logo cut into it, should look alright!

 

Added intermittent wipers,seat covers and Hertz 6.5 speakers.

OME medium duty leaf pack and bilsteins installed in the rear! liking the look but have a little bit of take of shudder coming from the back...I did install the diff drop..has anyone experienced this...I heard it was fairly common and im hoping it becomes less with the RTT weigh on there...


also shoutout to MIDLAND Radio. I have run GMRS for some years now and have never had any issues with them...bought the 115mx for this truck and noticed the antenna base cracking...messaged them about it and received a much nicer antenna within a week! love that!!

 

I made my decision on which fogs to get so havent followed that thread closely since, but still scan the new posts. I believe they are still not compliant after the "fix" of plastic inserts. Maybe I'm wrong.

 

Threw the bikes in the back and had a little adventure with the girlfriend!

I have a Fumoto also. Like it alot. Little slower to drain but much cleaner during the oil change.
