Super Ultimate 3rd Brake Light Build

so thats a first verson 3rd brake plug that isn't really released yet. The 2 small black plugs coming off are BRAKE and CAB LIGHT. They are made to plug into my HEXPODS. IF adapting it to BAJA, KC, etc. You just cut them off and solder directly to the lights of your choice. This way it's still plug and play...and not altering the vehicles wiring

Can you sell the connector and pin?

 

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have a question about possible future light housing designs. I saw one of the options has a NMO style connector for a CB/HAM radio antenna and I was wondering, if possible, could a BNC,FMA or another style connector also be added to the housing so I could hook up a WeBoost Antenna as well as a Ham radio NMO antenna?

 

I'm hoping this will be a solution for the issues I've had with my BD lights! I've been in touch with Andrew via email over the last few months, so I'll check in with him sometime in the near future. I cut off the stock connector for the 3rd brake light, so hopefully this will still work.

 

I can’t believe it — I finally have a cargo/bed light in my Access Cab.

Many hoops to jump through to correct this Toyota omission, but for me the effort and expense were worth it.

I made the harness and @MESO was kind enough to supply my brother and I with the connector.

 

Haven't looked at my lights in a while, but I will after work today.

 

I finally replaced my KC Cyclone lenses with solid plexiglass I bought on eBay. The seller cut them to 2.2” diameter (just have to tell him in the comments). I drilled the bolt holes. We shall see if these last. I bought 8 of each, so I have spares now.
I put the black caps under the plexiglass (had to trim them down to fit).

I changed out all the screws too while I was at it. Bought them on Amazon a while back. Black, Phillips head plastic.

I used black silicone on the rubber gaskets to seal them. They shouldn’t be any water getting in! I also ran another bead around the entire light.

If you read the description on his listing, he says to buy the larger size and request your custom size. I was skeptical, but it worked, and was shipped the next day.

 

I got plenty of everything. And for another $22, I can double my supply of lenses and screws. Better than paying another $140-150 for new KC lights just to get new lenses. I really think these are gonna work without cracking. But shit, I never figured out why the KC’s all cracked.
